Bio, CV

Vincent Dalbera vit et travaille principalement à Paris. Après des études de graphisme et une première expérience dans ce domaine, il reprend ses études en art et sort diplômé de l’ENSA Bourges. Il part ensuite un an au Japon avec le Programme Vacances Travail pour réaliser son rêve de photographier Tokyo et sa mégalopole. À travers la photographie et l’édition, il explore la représentation de l’espace urbain et son expérience sensible par la marche, ouvert aux rencontres inattendues avec toutes les formes du vivant. Il a exposé son travail dans plusieurs lieux en France, notamment au Frac PACA, au festival Promenades Photographiques de Vendôme et à DOC, Paris.
« La photographie, est pour moi la représentation d’un espace, mais aussi d’une expérience directement liée au corps et au déplacement. La ville est mon sujet favori, par ses structures, ses textures et ses ouvertures. Je suis aussi à la recherche de lieux pour lesquels je ressens quelque chose, une aura, un souvenir. »

Vincent Dalbera, lives and works mainly in Paris. After studying graphic design, photography and a diploma from ENSA Bourges (National School of Art, Bourges, France), he went for one year in Japan to photograph the metropolis of Tokyo.
His photographs have been presented at the festival Promenades Photographiques in Vendôme (France) and projected during the exhibition Archifoto in Strasbourg (France) in 2017. He was co-curator of two exhibitions on textile in contemporary art, in 2014 with Les Corps du Tissu at La Box Bourges gallery, and in 2016 with Textures de l’Art Contemporain (Textures of Contemporary Art) at the "Musée de l’Hospice Saint-Roch" in Issudun. In 2019, he participated in the group exhibition 2 temps 3 movements at DOC and published his first book, "11/05/2015" or the tour of Paris ring road, presented at FRAC Provence Alpes-Côte d'Azur in Marseille in 20202 for the exhibition Des marches, démarches. Since then he has continued to publish photographs and has taken part in several group exhibitions in Paris. He has participated in many workshops and has been an artist assistant, especially for the Kyotographie festiæval (Japan) and the Regional Service of the Inventory of Aquitaine (France).
"Photography, which I use mainly, is for me the representation of a space, but also of an experience directly related to the body and the displacement. The city is my favorite subject, with its structures, textures, and openings. I am also looking at places where I feel something, an aura, a memory."
